I am so happy that I don’t have to change another diaper! Last baby, lasy “baby” characteristic, and we conquered potty training. My oldest child is 15 and on average, all of my kids had some kind of diaper until 3 years so I literally spent nine years of my life changing diapers. I am glad I don’t have to change diapers anymore. Well until I have grandbabies in another 15 years or so.
Honestly when I started using the potty program from Pull-Ups, I thought my stubborn child would still just be having accidents in them and treat them like a diaper. He really surprised me and all it took was a few treats and his favorite smartphone application and he trained in a couple days. I would love to tell you he hasn’t had a single accident but that would not be true. He has at least a couple times a week where he sleeps a bit too long and has accidents in his bed. We’re doing laundry more than we want to so we may use the Pull-Ups for extra protection for the bed.
Overall I think it was just time for him to go, he is older than most of the kids potty training and it just clicked, like it did for my older son. He didn’t use the Pull-Ups long enough to really say if they helped or not but I can say that using the potty timers and the phone app really did help. Aiden is so proud when he goes potty now and we still praise him a lot for it.
As I say goodbye to diapers I am bitersweet that I won’t have another newborn in those teeny tiny diapers but I am perfectly happy starting my mid-thirties being done with the babies! I will miss that newborn stage, but will love it again someday when I have my first grand child!
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Pull-Ups. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating
