Being a mom of three and a college student leaves little room in the pocketbook for shopping so when I can I definitely use coupons! I was asked to take a gander at a coupon site I had not heard of before called MyCoupons.com. This is a site that has a mega huge list of coupons both for printing and online as well as letting you know of some great deals and offers.

When I first got there the first thing I noticed in a vibrant blue was my city (well I don’t live in Lansing but its within driving) but I can click on the tab and see deals for my city:

….and so I clicked the tab and what did I find? A deal for Mongolian BBQ!

Not only is there an alphabetized list across the top but the left sidebar has all the categories with picture illustrations and the categories do have subcategories. I found it extremely easy to navigate and the colors were very pleasing too. I have heard of printing coupons before but I have never actually tried to use them in a store. I think maybe now is a good time to start with my kids growing and their appetites along with it.

For my first visit to coupon site that wasn’t just coupon codes for online, I am pretty impressed. I have definitely bookmarked the site and as soon as I get the okay from my grocery I am going to try printing some coupons!!

Don’t you hate it when you are having a picnic and the wind gusts and carries it away? Well Food’s On developed a system that keeps the tablecloth, plates and cups on the table. They designed a set with everything you need to to have the picnic but with velcro on the bottom that sticks to the special tablecloth. And the tablecloth is machine washable. They sent me a 6 pack for review and here is what it looks like from the site:

I will say that you can use the yellow holders with regular paper plates which is good because before I could tell my helpers to not throw away anything they had the tablecloth and utensils and plates in the trash under a dirty diaper that a visitor had thrown out from her baby. SO I need to order some more.

Does it work? OH YES. Even though we don’t picnic often we now have a whole set we can take and be assured nothing is going to blow away! And the carrying bag has an insulated bottom too for the cold drinks. All you need to bring is the food and the fun! And remember you can reuse everything (except the napkins) so be kind to the earth and make sure your party knows ahead of time not to toss stuff!

If you grill food you know cleaning the grill can be a pain. And the regular bristle brushes they sell to scrape off the burnt food are okay, but never get your grill as clean as you would like. Grill Daddy sent me a unit for review. This is one item that went straight to my Father-In-Law as he is king of the grill. Well, July 4th arrived and he was gone all day so I took it from him and cleaned the grill for the first time with the gadget. There is no electronics you just fill it with water and turn the dial near the top and it will let water come out. On a hot grill this will produce steam and that steam will lift off the food with minimal effort!

My opinion on it: Is it a miracle that will make your grill look like the one above? No, but it will work better in my opinion than the regular wire brush cleaner. And I don’t have to worry about batteries or anything its just water. Its a neat gadget and I have tested quite a few as seen on tv products and this one is actually doing what it claims

Growing up, my favorite summer activity next to swimming was playing volleyball. We would get the cheap set or even use our clothesline as a net. We always had a HUGE game going at family reunions. CSN sent me a Franklin Sports Volleyball Set for review.

We had it up and ready for Colton’s birthday party. We actually had it up by the 4th of July! I didn’t pay attention to the description about the dimensions and was shocked when it spanned 30 feet wide! It was then I realized, aside from the great quality of the metal poles, this was a regulation size net. It has hooks and clips for easy net attachment and spikes for the poles, which do not go in the ground.

I would say make sure the grass you are driving the steaks is not soggy in any way and it won’t hold well in sand either. It would need sand spikes for that. Overwall we are really happy with out set, its a nice one that we will keep for a lot of years! We might get a badminton set of rackets and birdies to switch it up. I have to say its a big workout playing. My son loves it!

I know I shouldn’t keep secrets from my readers but I have a big one. I have been sleeping on a cloud for the past month! Let me explain. I have wanted to get something customized with my site information practically since I opened my blog. This summer I have had the pleasure of using a great summer theme designed by my best friend Bobbie of onescrappymom.com. I had the pleasure of reviewing the Tassimo Hot Beverage machine back in January and I use it all the time since. My favorite is cappucino! Tassimo heard about how hot iced beverages are these days and thankfully they now make iced coffee T-Discs! Presenting the newest member to the Tassimo family, Gevalia Iced Coffee!

Tassimo sent me a package of each and my hubby and I fell instantly in love! I prefer the blend with the milk disc but I brew the other and just add my own non dairy creamer and Splenda. I hate to admit this in public but I have never been lucky enough to receive flowers for any occasion. Not have I been the recipient of a gift basket. On the other side of the coin I have never sent one either, and I didn’t know the first thing about them. ProFlowers is a site filled with great gift baskets and of course flowers and plants that you can send to someone special. Seriously they sell Bonsai Trees! They sent me the Movie Night gift basket to review. I chose this one because we are big popcorn eaters here and this was something fun to open and enjoy a couple days before my oldest son’s birthday.

That popcorn bucket is actually reusable its not made from paper. All though there is a paper popcorn holder included. There was a nice assortment of candy, the big boxes you see at the theater like Mike and Ike and JuJuBe’s.The site has a list but I think the candies vary because we didn’t have Zours and I don’t think we had Pistachios either.

I don’t think even now we have all the candy ate but we have all been snacking on it. My favorite though is the bucket and I use it at least 3 nights a week. My youngest Aiden is a HUGE fan!

If you know a movie lover then this is the perfect gift for them. I would pair it with a gift card for the local movie rental place and you have a really great gift!

Fruit and granola on a delicious crunchy cinnamon and maple syrup crust, what could be better? How about the fact this warm breakfast can be ready in one minute? New from Kellogg’s (a local company for me, not only is Kellogg’s factories less than an hour from me but hubby’s grandfather worked there all his life!) , the Eggo Real Fruit Pizza‘s come in Strawberry Granola and Mixed Berry Granola. I had the pleasure of tasting both. They are really the perfect breakfast for fruit and granola lovers. I loved the Mixed Berry the most, the raspberries were so delicious. The crust wasn’t as thick as the picture shows but it was plenty good! These new pizza’s hit the shelves just last month and they can be found in your grocers freezer. I had a hard time fighting with the kids to share these so I am for sure going to be buying them because I am sick of buying toaster pastries! The boxes have trays inside with silver colored discs that will heat the crust to make it crunchy in the microwave. I didn’t try it without that tray, and I think I would like to since I like a soft crust.

I don’t know about you all but becoming a teen has done a number for my son’s skin. Well he isn’t ghastly broken out with pimples or anything but he is generally grumpy that he has to deal with the pimples. I was sent a sampler from Oxy Clinical to test on him for a week. He uses the Oxy pads so we were open to trying the regimen as well.

What I can say for my husband who also tried it is that he found it to dry out his skin but also he doesn’t suffer from acne like our son. For my husband he needs something less clinical.

For my son? This stuff actually works. Colton has had problems with big blackheads on his nose and after 4 days of using this product they were gone and the small blackheads were shrinking. His skin looks really good now and that is with 100 degree muggy weather which is not easy to do. For teen skin this stuff really works! One of the bigger drawbacks though is that its 3 steps and that is a lot for a teenager to remember when they have so much going on. I am an adult and don’t like doing steps with skin care. But if it works its worth it, right?
