I know, I know, I am way behind the curve of the cake pops trend but what can I say, I try stuff when I am good and ready, LOL I recently bought a Babycakes Cake Pop Maker from Younkers sfter a couple food blogger friends of mine said they really love it. Knowing I didn’t want to make them by hand with frosting etc. I FINALLY gave in and got me one and I do like it! It is very easy to use but the only thing I don’t like is that the round shapes look more like a planet with rings than a perfect circle. Of course that could be my user error. What I love about the machine is all the possibilities, seasonal pops, savory pops, well basically I will be making a TON of them and of course taking photos!! Speaking of seasonal pops, this is my first time, my first pops that I can look back on and improve from, my Valentine’s Day pops… also my first time using the Wilton candy melts so I have more to learn with them too

Those look yummy! I love the idea of cake pops because it is a nice small bite for those of us who don’t want a whole piece of cake.

What I was most interested in is the recipe. Is that red velvet. Most cake pops are sort of mushy and “wet” on the inside but yours actually look like cake! Is that b/c of the machine?
Yes it is definitely because of the maker. This kind is easy just a cake box mix, the regular non Babycakes pops are made with cake and frosting mooshed together if that makes any sense. You could use any standard homemade cake recipe (like mine here) and use the machine to bake, then the candy to dip. I am DYING to make some banana cake with chocolate on the outside lol
these look adorable and delicious! (Don’t worry, I still haven’t tried to make them either)!
