Do you know how hard it is to choose a Valentine’s Day gift for yourself? I had the opportunity to visit ProFlowers.com and got to choose a gift to review. I knew I didn’t want flowers, I am not a fan of them since they die and I can’t eat junk food anymore so I did something way out of the box and I chose a Gardenia Bonsai Tree! This Bonsai tree has gardenia buds on it, is winter hearty and will smell delicious when it is time for those blooms to open in March!! I made my order and had the package here in less than a week. I like that it was easy to find the Valentine’s suggestions on the site in bold and red, even suggestions for best sellers. Made finding something cool a lot easier. I took time to let it acclimate to the temperature in my home and read directions. It came in a container and also had a humidity tray and rocks, so that if there is excess water it stays in the tray and evaporates back into the plant!

Right now I am having issues with under-watering but I am learning how to care for it better and also it is so super cold I can’t put it outside so it sets in front of our picture window for light. I love this little tree, and love it even more because it is not the ordinary candy or flowers that one usually gets for Valentine’s Day!
