I love the first one where they are staring each other down. Awesome.

Those are amazingly great pictures of the zoo. Mine never turn out that well. I’d be a leetle bit nervous to stand so close to an alpaca (or a llama?). Don’t they spit?
Haha I think they do spit but these weren’t Alpaca’s they were LLamas. They have a little dispenser you can put a quarter in to get food to feed them. My daughter was doing that and I looked over to see my oldest and this guy LOL. And the trick to getting close ups in a zoo is a very large zoom lens! Most of these photos that day were shot at 300mm
I was more scared to get pooped on when we went inside the bird house with the birds!
so pretty we love the meerkats

Well I must of disapeared? I swear I left a comment last night mentioning the staring contest between your son & the llama… the little smirk almost suggests the llama had just told him a joke! LOL!

Thanks Virginia! I use a Nikon d90 dSLR with a 70-300mm Sigma lens. I usually have my 18-105 VR lens on but for the zoo a zoom lens is really best
Really great pictures! The llama looks like he’s checking out his visitor.
I love the first photo!! Amazing pictures

Staci A´s last article ..Wordless Wednesday: Fishing Together
Thanks Staci! It was actually not the best time because some of the animals were having lunch and the big male lion was napping, along with the tiger. I really love tigers and was sad I didn’t get a shot. And the artic fox, pure white, also sleeping. A lot of the mammals were sleeping and we completely missed the snakes and frogs!
Amazing pics! The best one is your son trying to stare down that… what’s that a Llama? LoL Too funny! He looks like he’s about to laugh too! LOL
Those are some amazing pics! I especially like the 1st one!
