I was always the girl in high school who was never asked out. I don’t think I was particularly ugly or anything. i had an awesome and impressive body at 17 as well. Still I was only ever asked to a dance one time and it was more of a friend than romance. Not to mention it was when I was a freshman. Then comes my first prom, junior year. As usual I didn’t have a date for the dance. This time I am so thankful because little did I know I would be set up on a blind date for that prom. Did I mention that the blind date turned out to be my soulmate?
On this day in 1995, 14 years ago, I met the man I would marry. He took a chance 2 days before my prom when a friend called and asked him if he would take me. He could have said no. But he showed up that day so handsome. The corvette he was driving was a plus as well 
I knew by the end of that night that we had something special.
