I decided that I am going to write Santa. I am going to go dream shopping for things I would love but can never get, or at least, not get right now because its Christmas and the kids are more important LOL! Today I am talking about modern furniture. I have had mishmash style furniture for as long as I can remember. We would slowly add pieces as we can afford. This fall we were lucky enough to snag an amazing deal on Craigslist for a 3 piece leather set. Never mind that it’s green leather. Its comfortable and it matches and that is what is important.

In this economy its really important for many people to find affordable furniture. They don’t have a good reason to spend thousands and thousands on furniture if they can’t afford payments on the house or car. I know for myself I had to find the best deal out there. I am in college and I am a mom who doesn’t really have an income so we had to stretch our dollars as a family.

So for my list to Santa, my dream present today is this Chambers Chaise ($899):

And on the subject of modern houseware, I also found these retro (ironic!) mugs at Zgallerie that I think I will actually get for myself!

Santa if you read this, I promise I will share that Chaise with my husband…sometimes!
