So my brilliant beautiful daughter found a new friend the other day. Honestly I thought it would have died by now but its still going. In fact I am in charge of babysitting it as I type this. According to this site its an Eastern Tent mature Larvae, getting ready to go hide for a few weeks in a cocoon. I had to break the news to her that this furry girl (or guy!) isn’t going to make a butterfly that it will be a moth and she said she doesn’t care she just wants to take care of it. And she does. Last night she thought she lost it and was absolutely heartbroken and cried so much it made Aiden cry. As it turns out, the thing was on her shoulder the whole time. Since then its been HANDS OFF. This afternoon we noticed a cocoon which Alyssa thought was a dead bug or something but its not. I went out and got the fuzzlebutt a nice branch of fresh leaves for its “habitat” since there was nothing for it to climb or crawl and the leaves were sort of dry and dead. It seems happy. Stay tuned for updates on the as of yet not names insect!

How cute! I hope it does transform for her. Even though it is a moth, she will still be SO amazed!!
Bobbie´s last blog ..A Pillowcase Dress!
The critter was laid to rest today. Probably because that kind needed to be outdoors but also it was looking like it was cut in half somehow. Alyssa is ok thankfully but I really need to get her a butterfly garden!
