I Got Some Bags!

By on August 19, 2010 1 Comment

I’m trying to organize not only my own back to school list but that of hubby and both my kids that are heading back to school. I made the mistake of using a bag that was terribly designed but also killed my back. I didn’t expect much though it was $2 on clearance!

This semester I decided to get a really nice bag. I had tried to get one as a review but the one company that responded told me they didn’t have any samples available. Twice. I got over it and decided to buy one instead and that way I don’t have to do anything but enjoy the bag. Its got ample room for my stuff, laptop, and most importantly its on wheels. My back can’t take anything else. I can also use it for a carryon when I go to Brandcation if I need to. Not linking the company but I will share a picture! I am excited because I saved up for a nice bag and I am getting one! I hope this bag lasts me through the next 3 years!

As for my kids I didn’t need wheels for them. But for my son in particular, it was time for a REALLY goof bag. He is entering 7th grade and it was time for a pack that will last him not only all school year but hopefully into college! And for my daughter she is entering 2nd grade and she needs a nice bag but not all the bells and whistles. Enter Kelty. These are the same folks that sent us backpack child carrier that we featured during Summer Staycation!

Kelty sent backpacks for my kids, the Connection for my son and the Grommet for my daughter…

The Connection pack for my son is a full sized pack featuring ample storage pockets, including a padded sleeve for a laptop (he doesn’t have one but he will someday) and a special pocket for his mp3 player/phone. I had him try it on and he loves it, especially the padded vents in the back. I love the zippers, they are protected and not cheap looking! The Grommet is quite a bit smaller, designed to fit 5-10 year olds. The pack fits my daughter perfect and expands outward but its short. The bags we send the kids have to be able to hold one weekly large folder and library book. I think the bag will hold it but its not going to hold a jacket or spare shoes, as we live in Michigan we need to be able to transport bulky stuff. But the quality is outstanding just like the Connection bag!  I will try and get a picture up of the kids wearing the bags so you can get a better idea.

I wish Kelty made rolling backpacks because they make the best bags! You can find out more about these bags and more by visiting Kelty!
