Loving Summer But Hating Allergies

I’ve gone through my life not being allergic to a single thing. Or so I thought. It turns out I suffer from seasonal allergies when Spring rolls its head around. But now it seems we skipped over spring and went right to summer so my allergies and sinus are all over the place. My teenage son and husband have quite a few allergies and the pollen and things in the air make them pretty miserable. But since I don’t trust any medicine not to knock my son out (he needs to be alert in school!) I only really trust Claritin for him. And for me I am very sensitive to any medications so I have to be careful or I will have to take a nap myself. We fully stand behind Claritin in this family and have for years.

Our secret to help our son in the summer is to give him a Claritin before bed every night. He has a pretty nasty reaction to cut grass and in the summer every other day someone is cutting so we need to stave the reaction before he starts to feel bad. A bonus is it also helps stop his eczema from breaking out all over as soon as he is outdoors.

Brooke Burke-Charvet knows what it is like to be a busy mom juggling life with allergies like me. She teamed up with Claritin to make a video portraying what life is like when her allergies are in check with Claritin and without. Check it out.. I feel like that too when my allergies flare!

Its been a while since my last visit to your site, to be honest I really appreciate this article, so true that we love summer but the problem we encounter is some allergies that is so much annoying, for example skin, itchiness and many more. summers seems great but we can’t explain the climate.

Oh, allergies are making me so miserable, too! Just as the tree pollen (and my allergy to it) clears, on comes the grass pollen (and my allergy to that). Honestly, I dread going outdoors from late March until the first hard frost, which stinks since I love to garden. I’ve been trying Claritin, but hadn’t thought to take it at night. That’s when I really need the relief, so your schedule makes perfect sense. Thanks!
