I swear there always has to be a better car insurance deal. I think the fact I rarely drive should entitle me to lower rates but others will never agree. But I do enjoy the yearly game of looking around for price quotes! And there are a zillion places to weed out where to get quotes. I finally settled on PremiumAutoInsurance.net. I saw the usual suspects, Geico and Nationwide. I clicked the Geico and after I got to Geico’s site it didn’t work. Ok so onto Nationwide. Nationwide gave me a quote of $96.65 monthly. That’s kind of a lot for someone who hasn’t had a moving violation since 1995! Also its for a car that is 12 years old.

Next I tried Esurance. I had seen commercials but never tried to get a quote. It was a lot faster than the Nationwide priocess and whats better is I got a lower rate of 76.15 a month. Thats a savings of 20 dollars a month. Its also 10 dollars a month cheaper than my current Progressive policy.

I know we all hate the chore of choosing car insurance. I also know that the first policy I EVER bought in my own name was online. They can actually send you something to print out to keep in your car until you get the real cards in the mail. I have always had good experience with progressive so I think I will stay. I tried once to go to State Farm in person and they messed us up BADLY. I will never go with them again. Even for someone who drives as little as I do, its still the law to have insurance. I live in a no fault state so I couldn’t be sued anyway but who would take that chance? The last thing I need is to be taken to court for some weird charge and lose everything. I’ll have to show this quote to my hubby and see if he may want to try Esurance. Anyone have any experience with them? Does anyone use any of these people for insurance?
