How is your summer going? Are you having tons of cookouts? We haven’t had stable weather since Colton’s birthday so we haven’t grilled out much. But because its so hot, we try not to run the dishwasher or run hot water for dishes so we use plastic cups. Solo has come out with a square cup…for people like me who tend to drop stuff this cup’s shape is perfect!! My poor Alyssa has the same clumsy problem but uses these cups very well!
Solo wants you to join them this summer by taking a picture of yourself with their cup and entering their contest! The grand prize is $5,000!!! You can also upload an older photo of you with any of these older cups for a chance at one of two runner up prizes of $1,000!

I did find a couple older pictures and submitted them! I will take new ones with the squared version!
I will openly admit that I am a Solo cups snob. They are the only brand I buy because they can actually last a few washes in a dishwasher. I don't try that but my MIL does and if it can last through that i think its a strong cup so I am brand loyal!

I do love the colored ones which would be fun for a party but I admit I don’t understand the point of getting square cups. They can still fall over and liquid will still fall out. If the regular ones fall over so frequently, perhaps the Solo people should have decreased the amount of tapering?
Also, you would be less likely to be able to fit a square cup in a car or one of those folding chair cupholders so this makes the square cups much less practical than the standard ones.
