Ok so most people want to go to Disney or some place warm on Holidays. However, its so expensive. I have a family of five and the cost to fly and stay in Orlando is not something we can do. So until Disney contacts me and tells me the want to send me and my family to their resort, I will look elsewhere There was a time I wanted to travel to Branson, Missouri with my mom. It was the beginning of the new mecca for country music stars and it was just growing. I haven’t checked in a long time but today I decided to investigate. The one and only time I have ever been to Missouri was in 9th grade of High School and it was a band trip! We went to St. Louis. It was really fun. We hit the Six Flags too!

Ok first thing I ALWAYS look for when I want to go somewhere is the price for the HOTEL. It makes or breaks the whole vacation for me. Its the place I pass out in after walkign around attractions all day so it has to be comfortable. Oh and REASONABLE! Never in my wildest dreams would I think the Hilton would enter into reasonable. But check this out, they have really reasonable prices! They have the  – Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing – Looking at their packages I would probably take the Santa Claus is Coming packe package which is $209 for a an overnight stay that includes a picture and visit with Santa, milk and cookies, and presents! There is also the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel and that one I would do a summer stay because they have a spectacualr pool. I’d get their Silver City package because at around 100 per person this deal includes park hopper passes along with the hotel stay. Now I can’t go spend 800 dollars on a hotel package so I would have to just stay one night there. There is also another Holiday package that I would have love and its called the It’s A Wonderful Life package and that’s for the parents…it includes a spa treatment! That one runs about $349 a night for 2 people. Pricey but hey, its probably worth it!

I’d love to check out some live music while I am there. I don’t think Greg and I have ever been to a concert together since we got married nearly 14 years ago. But because I am forever a kid I crave FUN and my sights are set on Silver Dollar City because I just know my kids would have so much fun.

Branson is within driving distance from me so I wouldn’t fly there but if i was to fly I would set up a package with the Hilton’s to get a good rate for the whole package. I have never bought a vacation package just kinda grabbed money and went. It was kind of fun to check Branson out because now there is an amusement park I really want to go to. Probably more than Disney!
