A Sneak “Peep” Into My Spring Baking!

I have a busy week ahead of me with making some adorable and cute Spring/Easter treats but I wanted to post this, mostly for nostalgia since its the first time I “tried” the basket weave icing technique and used the grass tip. The grass part was great.Basket weave? I need some practice and to decorate when am not frazzled or in a hurry.

But I do like the cake my kids thought it was amazing. It is a 3 layer vanilla cake with a small layer of vanilla pudding. I also put pudding in the batter. Super dense and moist.

Yum.

    I LOVE this! So cute, I want to make it with my kids. I bet the basket weaving was hard. I made a Mario themed cake last year and I tried something similar but it turned out a mess.

    I have no idea what Peeps are though. They don’t exist this side of the pond.

    Your attempt at basket weave, looks like mine (well, yours actually looks a bit better than my attempt) .

    I should have paid better attention when my mom was doing a lot of cakes, before her stroke.
