I have been a stay at home mom for most of the time that I have actually been a mom. I have only ever used a non family member to watch my kids one time and the person I used was a trusted foster mom with many happy kids and it was just for a week. Plain and simple I don’t trust anyone to not harm my children. I do not like to have to leave my young one with anyone because if someone hurts him, he can’t tell me.
However our main sitters are older and one in particular has us worried about her ability to continue so we have been researching what centers are out there. I won’t use an in home daycare because I go to school in a completely different city 30 miles from home. However in that city there is a KinderCare. KinderCare is not just a baby sitter they are a learning center. They learn cognitive skills, social skills, physical skills and more. Its almost like school but personalized just for your child. And the centers are accredited and carefully licensed. That makes me feel better because I feel safer knowing the staff aew trained and observed by experts. These staff members are there to take care of feeding and care of course but also to teach. For me personally if I have to pay for daycare I would rather my child go to a center and the KinderCare center in Lansing would be my first choice. I have driven by it a million times. I think I might book an interview and make a visit since school starts back sooner than I would like!

I used to work at KinderCare. One of the best jobs I ever had. They really took care of their employees.
Wow sounds pretty cool! It’s so hard to find good places for your children these days!
Kindercare sounds great. The closest one to me is over an hour away.
It’s good to know Kindercare, you know, cares so much.
I run an in-home daycare – but would probably send my kids to a center if I went back to work. KinderCare looks nice!
Sounds great. I have been fortunate enough to get to work from home, but knowing there are great options like this out there is great for tons of other parents.
When my daughter was in daycare we looked into Kindercare and it sounded so great but logistically it just didn’t work out.
I actually went to KinderCare when I was a kid
I don’t remember a whole lot about it of course but I did like it there. lol I was going to send our daughter there but then I found out it was $120 per week (10 years ago, when we were teen parents and the average rate in the area was about $75 bucks) so we found a different place for her lol I have to say though, if we had one where we live now, I likely would have sent our 4 year old there rather than the public PreK program…
