I don’t wear glasses, but my mom does, my father-in-law does, my husband does (not all the time), and my oldest son is SUPPOSED to wear them. Its been a fight with him ever since he was little to get him to wear the glasses. And now that he is a teenager its like pulling teeth. He just won’t wear them. He can see fine, do normal tasks, read, play, all of it. You would never know he needs glasses until he goes to school and they test him yet again and tell me he failed the test. I didn’t think he was ready for contacts and I am still not sure. I just this year started looking at Acuvue contact lenses from BuyMoreContacts.com for him. There is no way he can have hard contacts. And because he is a teen he might just be better with disposable ones. I don’t trust he will take really good care of contacts but maybe its time to get a trial pair and see how he does. I think the worst part is when we go to these eye appointments the Dr. tells me he really should be wearing glasses full time and looks at me like I have to be on him like a hawk all the time. He is just a kid and very independent. However he is stuck with not very cool looking glasses and I think that may be the reason he won’t wear them. And I hate to cover his gorgeous brown eyes with glasses. I think maybe its time to get him some contacts. Who knows, maybe if he can really see, his penmanship will be better? Hey I can dream, LOL.
