Crayola Chalkboard Floor Puzzle Review

I am all about non electronic activities for my kids. The wonderful folks at Lafayette Puzzle Factory who manufacture these and many other great and beautiful puzzles, teamed with Crayola and created a fun and colorful set of floor puzzles. They sent me the Space Zone and USA Map puzzles to review. These puzzles are really big, 2 feet by 3 feet! There are 48 pieces and a piece of chalk in each box.

I sat down with my nearly 13 year old to put the Space Zone together. Now these puzzles are aimed at at least 6 years of age and I think thats good because between us it still took us more than ten minutes to put it together. The edges are not curly they are star shaped or butterfly etc. There is no way a toddler could put this together but thats okay, its not meant for toddlers!

When you get the puzzle all done there are some black areas that you can draw on.

And then the USA puzzle was much easier and I did it on my own but it was easy for me because I know where all the states go, LOL

This entire puzzle is chalk ready. This is my sons attempt to draw a hat and horse in Texas-

The puzzles are great, they wipe off easily, its fun. The only thing I would change is to have the boxes include a storage bag, mesh or plastic, because you can’t really store the pieces in the box because its a pull tab to open box. But the product itself I love. These puzzles have earned their place on our board game shelf!
