Quality Heirloom Children’s Furniture from Guidecraft

Have you ever regretted buying a cheap plastic piece of kids furniture because deep down you knew it would break and just be thrown away someday? As a mom I know I am done buying cheap things that break I don’t have the patience or the money. We had the absolute honor and privilege to review the Transportation Toy Box and Table and Chairs. I was beyond excited that they wanted us to check it out. The day the boxes arrived I had just gotten home from college and grabbed the boxes. They were very heavy. This is solid wood people! The pieces were all wrapped well. There were boxes holding the screws and instructions.

The directions were very straightforward and the toybox went up without a hitch. Before I show pictures let me say this is a good size box AND has a safety lid that will not slam down. And handles that double as vents. And since I am being honest I will say Aiden spends a lot more time on top of the box than with the lid open.

And since we are being REALLY honest here I will admit to you that I sat on the toy box and while I know you probably shouldn’t and I am much closer to 200 pounds than I care to admit, but there wasn’t even a creak. Impressive! And I love having a nice sturdy place to hold all of the living room toys. The box is not only colorful but so well made. The designs are carved and have a raised feel and then painted so its dimensional.

I put the table and chairs together. It was very easy until I got to the bars under the chair. You really have to pay attention to the letters and directions for the pieces of wood or it will go together backwards. Its easy enough to unscrew the bolts and get it right though. Other than that it was easy to put together, though it took longer than the toybox because well, there was a lot more pieces!

And when it was all done…I totally sat on the chairs too. I couldn’t help it I had to know if it could hold my weight and it did! I set up the table and chairs next to the toybox.

Now about the table, the center has a circle cut out attached to a cloth bag. This bag could hold crayons or cars or really anything. Since Aiden has started being interested in coloring I am going to use it to hold some big crayons. He played with that cover for over an hour!

To say I love these pieces would be a massive understatement. My daughter will sit at this table and read with Aiden or color with him. My older son can sit in the chair and talk to him as well. He is a teeny bit small but can climb the chairs okay for now. We try to just put him in the chair. His most favorite thing to do in the chair these days is eat a Honey Bun-

I feel great knowing my son has quality furniture that he can use for many years and I will keep for him to give to his son one day. Guidecraft has exceptional workmanship and high quality products.
