My older kids had way too many toys that were battery operated or cheap plastic and they were noisy! Not that a little noise is bothersome its just the incessant pre-recorded voices in things like fake cash registers or little phones or cars. I decided I wanted to get Aiden some toys that are less reliant on batteries and more eco friendly. I wanted to start a collection of wooden toys. I had some Haba wooden play fruit left from Alyssa that I just loved and they were in immaculate shape since they were wood. I found this site called ecoTime Toys and they were my answer. Its like the “green” version of toys r us!
This is an excerpt from their site:

So for the eco friendly parent, this company strives to meet the demands of what you look for in toys!
ecoTime Toys sent Aiden a RainboTower by Haba to try. It looks like a stacking ring toy but its actually solid pieces and there is no base upon which to stack them. I think its neat because it doesn’t have an extra piece to keep track of. I adore the fact its safe for Aiden and its going to last a long time!
Aiden loves it too. He is too young to try and stack it logically but he sure loves to knock the tower over after I am done building it for him. He also likes the bright colors. I am fine with him gnawing on the “rings” as he is teething because I know this toy is not toxic. Its safe, quiet, and eco friendly. The perfect toy! Well the perfect toy for him would be a car but he’s a little young yet..maybe… lol.

I would have such a hard time choosing! I really think my 2 1/2 would enjoy the Creative Blocks by PLAN TOYS, but he loves dominoes so the Animal Domino by PLAN TOYS would be great for him too!
