Suck It Up! Hoover Windtunnel T-Series Pet Rewind Vacuum Review

One of the main tools in the arsenal of a homemaker is her vacuum. For me and my busy lifestyle it is imperative that my choice of vacuum be the best. Added pressure to that comes from the fact that I am a former custodian cleaned for a living. So I am pretty picky about vaccums. We have three children and a lot of carpet. We don’t have a pet but for some reason my hair finds its way on to everything.  Our little one Aiden is a mess making machine. He leaves crumbs wherever he goes so we have to vacuum daily.

The Hoover Winndtunnel T-Series Pet Rewind Upright Bagless vacuum has solved a lot of our problems vacuuming. We don’t have pets but ironically right before I started typing this I took this vacuum to a recliner that my Father-in-law inherited from his late mother and that chair had been sat on by dogs. We have allergies in this house to cats and dogs so when something comes in this house with pet hair we have to act quickly so people’s allergies don’t act up. I took the pet brush to the chair. I will mention that my Mother-in-law took her Dyson to the chair prior. My Hoover not only got hair she missed but also I decided to sweep the floor with it and I got 1/2 inch of dirt that the Dyson didn’t! Its not the newest model of Dyson but its enough for me to say I won’t be buying a Dyson anytime soon!

Hoover sent this vacuum to us to review and right out of the box all we had to do was screw the handle in. I love that! It was ready to go! I read the manual while my husband put it together. Here is some official specs about the vacuum from the Hoover site:

The Pros: Without a doubt my favorite is rewinding cord. Its so convenient and my Father-in-law is totally jealous. I love that its pretty light too. The fact that its bagless is a must for me. The fact that its very easy to empty the dirt cup is the icing on the cake. The long cord is very much appreciated!  The location of the power button near the top of the handle is so convenient. The price is nice too, for a vacuum that at this time is beating the pants off an aging Dyson, this vacuum is only $159.99

The Cons: The cord location. If you have to move it out of the way you have to bend over quite far to grab it. Also the hose is rather short, even with the foot extension you couldn’t reach high ceilings with this model. If I were to suggest improvements it would be those.
