In week 3 I printed a ton of photos, specifically I printed my Christmas card on the 4X6 glossy papers.
They looked washed out on the Kodak but great on the HP. Again I use the same default settings for the test. Since I had decided that I liked the HP better I printed 20 more off of the cards on that printer and after that was done I got another color warning, to replace the photo black. On the Kodak I needed to print some text for next semester and ended up having to actually change the black out on it. SO in week three, Kodak ran out of black. The HP was still going though. When I notice a change in prints I will change he black on the HP. Printing went lacking after that though because of the Holidays and things. However I am about to print some more of those same photos to take to my mom on Christmas Day.
Week 4:
Scanning! We have an old yearbook that hubby needed to scan for his class reunion stuff. We have both printers on WIFI and its ok for printing and gets the info to the printers but somehow when we started to scan on the HP it just wouldn’t detect. We couldn’t send it to a computer. We could save it on a flash drive ok but couldn’t get it to go to the computers. Also, the markings aren’t all that helpful. Kodak shined though. They have easy to read markings, a larger scanning surface in my opinion, and a nifty feature, it will separate your photos for you and save them individually as well as one big photo. Came in VERY handy for hubby. He uploaded all scanned photos to his facebook but let me share his scanned photo of him with you all:
So because of the hiccups with the scanner on the HP, the kodak wins week 4. Score is 3 to 1 in favor of HP!
