Birthday Bash Giveaway #6! Woohooo!

Remember when we were kids and there wasn’t cell phones or Sony PSP’s or Wii’s? Remember when playing meant you had to use your imagination with your toys? I had to do that a lot because my mother wasn’t a big fan of noisy toys because she worked nights and it had to be quiet in the house for her to sleep in the day. So I would play with my dolls and other toys and use my imagination. Another reason I had to play alone is that I had two older brothers. My step sisters only came on every other weekend.

Nowadays my own kids are pretty much “plugged in” . The baby doesn’t know it yet. He doesn’t have a need to hop on the Xbox or a laptop. He is perfectly content playing with a box. My daughter has recently gotten to be more about games than anything and I wanted to remind her that imagination is a wonderful thing to have and that she has plenty of toys and all she needs to do is imagine. To help me show her how much fun it can be, Kaskey Kids sent us this bucket of action figures, the Soccer Girls.

I think she was confused at first but once we got it set up, her brother even came over and they both pretended they were having a soccer game with the big ball and nets that were included. It took some time to get all the figures out of their plastic but once we did it was play time.

I think the only drawback at this time is the felt game mat because it has creases in it from packaging so its not flat. And with the slightest movement the characters would fall down. It eased over time though and got flatter with more use and they don’t fall near as often. I just like that this product doesn’t use batteries or has any sounds and is powered by my daughter’s imagination! I would also suggest basketball, or softball for girls as being added to the lineup
