Did you know some of the hottest toys that you see on TV, the ones the kids beg for after the commercials, are made by Spin Master? Spin Master holds many different toys under their belt, such as Aqua Doodle, Aqua Sand, Liv Dolls and more! When Spin Master heard about the Summer Staycation event they wanted to be a part of it and sent us a huge box of toys to review!
First we have the Liv Doll, her name is Katie and she likes to skateboard and she has a dog! Liv dolls have interchangeable hairstyles that you can purchase. They are not styled like Barbie or Bratz they are actually age appropriate. I would show you a photograph of my daughter with her doll but she is always taking it outside and everywhere. She does’t generally play with dolls but because this one came with a dog she accepted it gladly. This is probably the only line of dolls I approve of for my 7 year old!
Next we have the Glo Doodle. This is a toy you can use day or night but night has a better impact when you use it at night. It follows along the lines of a Magnadoodle but its clear and works with lights It glows three different colors and is easy enough to use that my 20 month old figured out how to write on it and erase. There is an oval at the top you just push in and it pulls the plastic away from the drawing to erase it, very much like those dollar store tablets you draw on and then lift the sheet to erase. This toy is actually very HOT in this house with parents and kids alike fighting over it. Here is a video I made of my hubby using the Glo-Doodle:
Then we have Mighty Beans, they are like the jumping beans I played with as a kid but with characters and a collectible flair. I would write more about them but they are more of a collecting craze to me, the mom. The kids like to put them on a plate and make them wiggle all over. I like the designs of the characters on the beans. Cute! But definitely have to get on your older kids if you have little ones because they will go in the mouths of toddlers!
Aqua Sand is one item Alyssa was asking for for a long time. I was pretty Skeptical about it. I used this toy to bribe my daughter into finally cleaning up the back yard (okay she didn’t clean it herself, she helped though!) and then when it was time to play I was still skeptical. According to the box the sand will always stay dry no matter what. You literally squirt this sand into the container they give you and when play time is over all the sand comes out dry and can be put back in the container. Well that is exactly what happened! This can get messy so have a cloth or paper under everything. My only real beef with this product is that there is more than one color you can use and it looks neat in use but getting it back out, its impossible not to mix the colors. Even with that though this is definitely a cool toy!
Last but not least is the Air Hogs Titan Glider. This is a rather large styrofoam glider that uses KID power to go. My oldest was keen to test. He layed the pieces out on the grass. It was literally just the fusilage, 2 wings, and the tail piece. Also included were the decorative decals. Colton said the decals were super sticky and they gave him a hard time at first but if you don’t rush they will go on nice and smooth
He put it together himself and added the stickers, and sent it soaring no less than 20 times. I recorded a rather good glide. No complaints here for this one. Just know the wings come off when it hits the ground at least half the time. It is designed to do that so the structure doesn’t crack in the fuselage!

There is a Magic Hat found in the toys for 2 years and up at Spin Master Toys that I think the kids would like. When you move around and dance it plays songs. The kids love to dance so they would just have to put on the hat for music.
