I love pasta. I have kids. Kids love pasta. As a family of five we go through our fair share of pasta. Tradition spaghetti used to be the favorite but now, we make what we call Spaghettuccine, tastes like regular spag only we use fettuccine noodles. Its heartier and my toddler can eat the wider noodles much easier! This is the one meal I think I look forward to because everyone helps me make it! Its tradition!

I was fortunate to receive a gift set from Barilla and Mom Central that included various pasta, a spoon, coupons and a pasta holder. Also included were recipes from Mario Batali. They even put it all in an insulated bag!

I’d love to tell you I tried them all but I didn’t because we just don’t stock cilantro and fancy herbs and our local grocery doesn’t even carry them. Huge drawback to living in the country! But there was a recipe for home made sauce and I do have tomatoes on hand so we’ll be trying that sauce in the next couple days. We used the coupon to buy some Barilla fetuccine noodles for our Spaghettucine though and the noodles were amazing! I usually by the cheapest store brand but this was the first time I tried Barilla and I am in love. SOLD. Barilla gained a new customer!

To get the scoop and get some ideas on how you can Share Your Table, head over to Barilla and look at some recipes and then click Share the Table, tell them you believe in meaningful meals, then Mario’s button lights up for you to be able to download his recipes :)
