POM Wonderful sent me some 100% Pomegranate Juice to try and they asked me to tell you what I think. Now I am not a big fruit juice drinker but since I have passed the threshold of being 30 I am trying a little harder to get my heart healthy. And since there is clinical studies showing that drinking pomegranate juice helps with keeping the heart healthy AND helps with Prostate health for the hubby I figured why not?
What I did was make a fruit smoothie and used the POM Wonderful as the base! It tasted like a less sweet grape or cran-grape juice to my taste buds and though it tasted healthy, I wasn’t put off by it. So I made a smoothie with:
- POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice
- 1 Banana
- Various summer melon
- grapes
- ice
- strawberries
- splash of Orange juice
It was very very fruity! I mean it was something my kids would drink but they weren’t too thrilled. I think I overdid the melon. Anyway I drank it all. And I am still sneaking it into my smoothies that I use with Carnation Instant Breakfast. Its not my favorite juice but I am still getting used to it. Nobody ever said getting healthy could happen overnight, especially when someone with picky taste like me tries! But I do like the POM Wonderful, it makes me feel good to drink it
