<p>I love Aiden&#8217;s bumGenius collection. I started off with three and just recently bought 7 more because I love them so much. I love the fit and they haven&#8217;t leaked yet in the 11 months we have been using them. BUT, as with a lot of aplix diapers, the aplix curls and gets worn out. Mine were curly, worn, and sometimes hairy and the laundry tabs were just about bare-</p>
<div id="photoImgDiv3903226442" style="width: 502px;"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2627/3903226442_38001d0c3b.jpg" alt="DSC_6688b by you." width="500" height="330" /></div>
<div style="width: 502px;">So on a suggestion from an online friend I emailed <a href="http://www.CottonBabies.com">CottonBabies</a>, makers of bumGenius diapers and asked for a repair kit I had heard about. The kit is free, just have to email them with how many kits you need and your mail addy. Within a couple days I got my kit. I needed three but she sent five. Thank goodness for that because I did mess up one piece!</div>
<div id="photoImgDiv3902448257" style="width: 336px;"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3533/3902448257_da410ebd55.jpg" alt="DSC_6674b by you." width="334" height="500" /></div>
<div style="width: 336px;">Now you need a seam ripper, scissors and a sewing machine. The most time consuming was ripping the seams. You have to be careful not to mess up the fabric in the stretchy tabs.</div>
<div id="photoImgDiv3902448669" style="width: 502px;"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2669/3902448669_4b6f1ce32d.jpg" alt="DSC_6689b by you." width="500" height="333" /></div>
<div style="width: 502px;">Now firstly I sewed on the soft laundry tabs in place of the old ones. It got easier after the first one. I don&#8217;t have straight lines but it was a secure stitch. For the front tabs you have to sandwich the soft piece and the scratchy piece of the aplix with the tabs, having the scratchy piece face in. I found that if I sewed the aplix tabs 3/4 of the way before sticking them on the tab that it went smoother.</div>
<div style="width: 502px;">
<div id="photoImgDiv3902448857" style="width: 502px;"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2521/3902448857_a845c25a12.jpg" alt="DSC_6690b by you." width="500" height="296" /></div>
</div>
<div style="width: 502px;">I reinforced the aplix that was on the tab with 3 passes and then went around the whole piece again. Nice and secure. Maybe not perfect and pretty but WAY better than they were before!</div>
<div id="photoImgDiv3903227388" style="width: 502px;"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3525/3903227388_0616f0f2c8.jpg" alt="DSC_6691b by you." width="500" height="281" /></div>
<div style="width: 502px;">And there it is. Three fresh aplix bumGenius. And they work too! I am still a novice at sewing and was able to do this easily. If i can do it I think pretty much anyone else could too!</div>
<div id="photoImgDiv3902449343" style="width: 502px;"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2596/3902449343_607a933476.jpg" alt="DSC_6692b by you." width="500" height="297" /></div>
<div style="width: 502px;">If you are having trouble with your Aplix, get an email to<a href="mailto:contactus@cottonbabies.com"> CottonBabies </a>and grab your machine. You don&#8217;t have to hate Aplix anymore!</div>
