DVD and 2 Disc DVD + CD – both Debut June 8, 2010

StarStruck, a hit Disney Channel Original Movie, will debut on DVD June 8, 2010 with more movie and music — available in two ways: as a single DVD or a 2 disc set that includes the DVD+ Full Length Soundtrack CD. Each exciting release contains a never-before-seen exclusive extended scene and additional music with eight Rock-Along tracks and three music videos. The 2 disc set includes the DVD, plus the Walt Disney Records CD soundtrack with chart-climbing songs performed by stars Sterling Knight and Brandon Mychal Smith (“Sonny With A Chance”) among others. Both products (the DVD and 2-disc DVD+CD) will be available in stores June 8, 2010 from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment (WDSHE).

StarStruck, a music and adventure-filled romp that hits all the right notes for kids and tweens, tells the story of Jessica Olson (Danielle Campbell, Prison Break) and her older sister Sara (Maggie Castle, Time Traveler’s Wife), who are heading to Hollywood from Kalamazoo, Michigan, on a family trip to visit their grandmother. Sara is obsessed with pop star Christopher Wilde (Sterling Knight, Sonny with a Chance) and hopes to track him down while in California, but Jessica could care less about the stuck-up star and would rather go sightseeing. When the sisters arrive in L.A. Sara takes Jessica on a hunt to find Christopher and a chance meeting with the star sets off a series of comic adventures that feature many of L.A.’s landmark locations. As the sisters sightsee and spend time together, Jessica gets to know the real Christopher and soon their friendship grows. Ultimately Christopher must decide what is more important — being himself or becoming a movie star. Disney Channel stars Brandon Mychal Smith (Sonny With a Chance) and Chelsea Staub (JONAS) also star as Christopher’s loyal best friend and fame- hungry girlfriend, respectively.

This movie had everything a tween girl would love. Its aimed at the ages of 6-14. It stars two of the lead characters of the Disney show “Sonny with a Chance”. My oldest wanted nothing to do with it but I let my daughter watch it. Actually she sucked me into watching it with her and you know what? I really enjoyed it! Its cliche though, famous guy gets with not so famous girl etc. But it was cute. Alyssa balked at the kissing scenes but that’s only because she thinks boys have cooties still and she is 7 years old. She really loved the extra footage at the end of the DVD with the music videos, and really loved the music. I would definitely buy this if I had a tween/teen daughter. This was a cute movie!

This Valentine themed animated collection features three Winnie the Pooh stories including a new-to-DVD adventure (“My Hero) a fun bonus feature (“Catch the Love Bug” game), Pooh-themed Valentines cards inside each DVD plus all features from the original.

In Un-Valentines Day, it’s that warm and wonderful time when Pooh and his pals like to show how much they care. But Rabbit wants to cancel Valentine’s Day because last year, he was up to his ears in the flood of cards that littered the Hundred Acre Wood. Reluctantly, everyone agrees — until someone anonymously sends Pooh a pot of honey. Suddenly, the Valentine rush is again out of control, much to the delight of all — including Rabbit. In A Valentine for You, Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Rabbit see Christopher Robin making a valentine for a girl and find he’s been bitten by a “Smitten” and is lovesick. Worried that he’ll no longer have time for them, and hoping a second bite from the love bug will cure him, they set out on a wild adventure to capture the Smitten.  My Hero is a new-to-DVD adventure that shows the lesson of two friends truly helping each other. When Piglet saves Tigger’s life, Tigger decides to repay the favor by being Piglet’s servant. But Tigger’s new job causes Piglet more harm than good. When Tigger saves Piglet’s life, his obligation to be the servantis erased and all is back to normal.
