I had to register for classes for my spring semester last week. on the bad advice of the business department head, I did not register for a class I actually needed. I did not realize this until I was downtown with some classmates after cooking class relaxing and they urged me to reconsider. I had my Motorola Xoom with me and I quickly powered it up and then started my login process. Let me tell you, this process both on my home computer (DSL) and at the college (T1) is incredibly slow both because of the servers at school and the slow connection speeds themselves. At any rate I could NOT believe how FAST that 4G worked on my Xoom! As in I had logged in and registered for that class I needed in less than 2 minutes. I couldn’t believe it.
I was grateful for that speed because I was scared I would miss my chance to have a spot, and this was for the internship, the one where I get me a job dealing with my major, the one I cannot graduate without. I am lucky that I could quickly get in there and register. I HATE navigating the college website usually but this time it was so fast it made me wish I had 4G at home! I am so glad I have been able to use the Verizon network and some cool gadgets as I have been in college. Its been super helpful when I haven’t been able to find good wifi too. Free wifi is great and all but when the connection sucks its a waste of time so I dig that the Verizon network has given me full bars and 4G in Lansing!

Technology and college are a fabulous combination! I’m not sure how much time you have left in school, but my advice is to switch advisers and find one whose opinion you trust and who takes sufficient time to inform and listen to you. Good luck!
