Serendipity Mommy is owned and ran by Candace. Candace lives in a very small town in Michigan. She was married very young and 18 months later had her first child at age 19. She takes pride in the fact that she is still very happily married to her husband, Greg.  Having a baby so young was very hard but it taught lessons necessary to shape her future of child rearing. Candace has been a stay at home mom for most of time she has been a mom. Her oldest, Colton is now 14, and he has 2 more siblings; a sister, Alyssa, who is 8 and a little brother, Aiden, who is 2 years old.

Candace adores her family and they are extremely important to her. There have been times where its been rough financially for the family but through faith and patience, opportunities would pop up and Candace has survived. She doesn’t take material things in life for granted. She knows what its like to go without. She’s been fortunate enough to bounce back and is reaching out to help others that were in her same position last year.    She donates to her local food bank and donates toys and clothing to her local Goodwill and also donates baby food and diapers to her local women’s resource group.  She feels the need to give back as much as she can as a thank you to those who helped her and her family in times of need.

Candace has been part of the online world since the beginning of America Online. She’s been a part of a message board or support group since her very first pregnancy 14 years ago. She’s been a part of moderating forums and also ran one as an administrator for a short time. She has many friends online and a group she has known for years and still talks to. She started blogging in late 2008 try and avoid her post partum depression. It was the summer of 2009, though, that brought her to networking and her site has been growing ever since. She does reviews and giveaways but also posts normal content. She talks candidly about her kids, school, etc. She is pretty blunt about her opinions but she doesn’t hold anything back and tries to be true to herself. She truly wants to establish lasting friendships and connections.

When she has time to she loves cooking, especially baking. She can make a blueberry pie from scratch that is so good it will make you cry. She also loves photography. Her sister-in-law is a professional photographer and it rubbed off on her so she takes really great photos in the candid style. She is thinking about branching into stock photography or food photography as a paid part time job in the future. In the meantime she is in college, majoring in food service/culinary artistry.  Her absolute passion for food has sparked something in her recently that she never knew existed. She fell in love with food and at college made the dean’s list for the first time after changing her major to something that is truly her calling. She plans to graduate in 2012.
